Minipets...
Are they drops?
I have no idea if they are drops... But i guess they are.

And to get , say , an Aatxe minipet - would that ONLY be dropped by an Aatxe ?

Mini pets come from several sources

The main source is birthday present - when your character turns 1 year it will get a minipet.

Different contests and promotionals give minipets - PCGamer had a minipet give-away with the introduction of nightfall and the article about EOTN. Also Collectors editions of Nightfall and Factions gave minipets.

Some contests give minipets - mini rollerbeetles were a prize for the top 100 scores in rollerbeetle racing at the Canthan New Year

And pigs were given far and wide as a party favor at the Canthan New Year celebration.

Of course, you can always buy them from a player ranging from about 3k for a big to 3000k for a panda

Minipets are gifts for your character's birthday. When your character turns 12 months, a gift will pop-up in your inventory.

You can find sellers easily in any of the Chapter capitols
